Please meet Spyrow!

This "little" fella was born a couple weeks ago and. His name is Spyrow and he is a sad, lost, Baby Giant searching for his forever home.
For those of you who may not know the story of the Baby Giants here ya go...
What can you say about Giants?
They are a unique breed of creature to be sure, and often times we simply just cannot understand their odd ways.
It seems that while the clan of Giants in the Yadish region are on the smaller end of the race
(some believe at some point in history they mixed with a local troll clan which in turn gave them their smaller size and many of them pointed ears)
they still pride themselves with being Giants so, more times then naught, the runts born are sadly abandoned in the woods
later to be found by the local village people in the area. These are the sweet creatures you see below.
Wouldn't you like to give one of these darling big footed babies a loving home?
I had so much fun bringing Spyro to life. I loved doing his hair. It's actually tracks used for human wig making and gives him a somewhat "dredlock" look don't you think?
As always thank you so much for taking the time to share in my smiles! It means the world to me!

Lets Talk COAs

To COA or not to COA?  Oh, of course, one question at a time, my bad!

Okay so the first question you asked, you did, I heard it, is what is a COA?
COA simply means certificate of authenticity.
In some lines having, or not having one, can make or break a doll's worth. In other lines, they aren't offered at all and the dolls do just fine.
Over the years I have done numerous COAs. I am about to start off with one of my very first ones.
The above COA was for my first doll line ever offered for sale called The Punkin Poos. Unfortunately I had to shut this line down due to conflict with OAA (Cabbage Patch) copyright laws. They were very nice about it, I must admit, and while I was served papers to cease and desist, around the same time I was offered a job there. I was honored but really wanted to keep creating on my own terms. Having to close the Punkin Poos ended up being the best thing ever for me. It gave me the push I needed as a new artist to branch out and find my own "nitch" Yay! I cannot express enough though how important learning about copyright law is!
Alas I regress.....back to the COA. This one above was a paper one. My logo was designed by John Henson, a beyond talented artist whom also designed for the Broadway play Wicked among other famous plays etc. He also edited the poem I wrote for my COA at the time. I was so proud of my logo and COA. However, I still struggled with the thought of collectors having to worry about keeping track of their authentication paper. This led me to create a new type of COA. One that was not paper and one that could easily stay with the creation and not have to be stored separately with a chance of being lost.
Yep, you got it, the COA bracelet was born for my lines!
Below are a couple of my past styles...
I created the all the graphics myself for all my COAs after the Punkin Poos. They are created on shrink film, o ring added, and then put on a bracelet or tied around the creation's wrist with ribbon. They could stay with baby all the time whoot whoot!
I wasn't too happy with the above two. Number one, they were very "blah" to me, they just didn't pop. Another problem was that I was able to fit the doll line logo on there but not my Tipsy Teacup logo.
So I tinkered a little bit more and came up with the ones below....
I was much happier with the scroll and stars but still just wasn't "there" yet. I still didn't have enough space for my Tipsy Teacup logo and this really annoyed me to no end.
So back to the drawing board for me. I created a few other styles that I failed to save and then finally came up with a larger tag using shapes that created more room for goodies to be put on as well as supporting my Tipsy Teacup theme.
Below are the tags I currently use....
While I am much happier with these current COA tags, I still feel some tinkering coming on. I really miss the stars so might try and see about incorporating them some how.
So, what do you think? Which is your favorite?
As always thank you for taking the time and sharing in my smiles here!

Halloween WIP

Am I doing good or what? TWO posts in one day!
I promised I am going to get back to "it" and indeed I am.
I thought I would show a little project I am working on for my Soo... I'm Different line. HOPEFULLY he/she (haven't decided yet) will be done in time for Halloween.
Can you guess what he or she will be??? I know I know!
I am not telling tho. Nope I am not! You will have to wait my friend!

A new face wants to say hello!

Ummm well yes, not exactly brand spanking new, I admit, but the latest I have done. Over the next couple weeks I plan on posting a tid bit of what I have been doing since I "paused" my blogging.
So with that said, Please meet Agatha! She is the last Gothic Giggle I brought to life. Boy was she
Chilling grave side....
I adore creating this hairstyle! I came up with it back in 2008 on Snee, pictured below. I call it knit stick buns and, well, that is exactly what it is!
I decided to go with a less full bun on Agatha tho. For some reason I wanted a more droopy and less perky look to the buns.
Last but not least, Agatha's COA "charm".
As always, thank you so much for peeking and sharing in my smiles!!!

Oh I am truly shameful....

*Loud long sigh* ...I truly am!
There just is no excuse for the neglect I have offered my Blog over the last year or so. Oh poor, sad, alone, little blog, I am so sorry.
What? Oh yes, I can see why you might be confused! I did indeed have a different blog a few moons back. It even had a large group of followers. It did!
Why did I get rid of it then? Well,  I am sad to say the Facebook bug bit me quite hard a while back and I thought I would just post there since I heard it was the new social and business big "to do".
Oh yes, I do agree! It was a huge mistake. Not that I do not enjoy Facebook, because I really do, but I should have never abandoned my earlier blog. Shhhhh, we must keep our voices down though, I do not want my sweet new blog to have hurt feelings. LOL
I am tickled pink to be back in the blog world and so look forward to connecting back with all the wonderful artist and followers here.
Now onto what I have been up to! I have made several creations which I plan to catch up on here with, have had my work published numerous times, a huge YAY for that, and placed in a couple doll contest. the last one being the 2013 Doll Net Baby Doll Challenge. Thank you Doll Net! I've been a busy bee haven't I?
To kick off the fun with this long over do post, I am tickled to post my latest Baby Giant, remember those?
As always a big thank you to any and all that take the time to share in my joys here. I am really excited about catching up with everyone here, as well as adding you all back to my blog along with making new friends!!!
